L’église Notre Dame des Arts

Notre Dame des Arts bears witness to the prosperity of the Seine trade after the Hundred Years' War. The church was built in the most beautiful style of the 16th century: Flamboyant Gothic. The main structure was built between 1499 and 1566 on the site of a rural church.

It consists of a 6-bay nave enlarged by two aisles which, at 38 meters long, joins the nave to the choir.

The building is in need of a major restoration campaign, and will undergo extensive restoration and enhancement work.

A diagnosis of the building was carried out in April 2016 by a chief architect of historic monuments.

The program of works will be spread over several years, starting in 2024.

It illustrates the town's commitment to restoring its heritage (towers, ramparts, etc.), just as the agglomeration is doing at the Bailliage to give this historic site a new vocation.
